We ALWAYS take our vehicles to Gages Lake Auto in Lake Villa. You may find a cheaper place to take your vehicle, but I choose to take mine to a certified mechanic with over 40 years of experience!!! We love our mechanic SKIP! He takes his time to check over my entire vehicle, every time. If he finds a problem, he calls us. We never go anywhere else!

Another standard oil change that didn't include those famous words "Mr. Forster, can you come back here". But if there was something wrong they would surely have let me know. In the past simple oil changes have turned into fixing something that would have put me on the side of the road. That's why I keep going back-because they have mine!

Love the place! Always friendly and very accommodating. Totally explains work needed now and possibly in the near future. Honest and does excellent work! Won't go anywhere else!

I called several locations for a quote. None of them had a smile in their voice and all sounded disinterested and less than interested in new business. A coworker recommended GLA bc he's been bringing his cars their for years. What a pleasant surprise. Talked to 2 different men, at different times; each was kind, professional and informative. Pricing for services was reasonable and routine. I believe they priced based on services performed and did not price gouge or invent/overinflate work. After paying for services, I asked where my car was parked. Pat offered to walk with me to it. Now that's service! They now have a new customer for life and I will recommend their services to anyone.

As always, I trust the service my cars receive at Gages Lake Auto. I appreciate the free loaners as well, which make the servicing of my car much less of a hassle.
