I was referred to Gages Lake from a trusted friend and they have lived up to the recommendation. I brought my car in and asked them to do some work. They did most of the work I asked for but then surprised me by telling me that rather than spend $600-$800 with them to do the last job, they suggested I take the car to the dealer where they did the work under warranty for nothing. Honesty in business in general is difficult to find these days. It is so reassuring to know that I can bring my car in and feel completely comfortable knowing that they will do not only what’s best for my cars but also lookout for me. We have three cars in the family at this point and we will be bringing our cars here for everything including simple oil changes.

So my wipers fell apart during the latest round of winter. I'm headed for Indianapolis the upcoming weekend. It's Wednesday morning. I call the shop from the post office line and they say they can get me in. I'm in, quality set of blades hung, and out the door in 15 minutes!! Who else does this!? They do-that's why I keep coming back. You will too if you start bringing your car to them for regular service!

Service done at the Lake Villa location was very good. Work was done promptly and Ken, who waited on me, was helpful and it felt like he listened to me. The loaner car was also a very valuable " value added " as I did not have to bother anyone to come and get me or substantially alter my daily driving needs.

Ken was very courteous and professional. My vehicle was fixed promptly and at the estimated price. I would recommend this shop!
