I have been dealing with Todd and Jim at Gages Lake Auto for just about two years now and I will not go anywhere else. I live in Milwaukee and will continue to drive down there to do business. You will never have to worry about getting taken advantage of or getting any service that is less than stellar. It is nice to know there are good people out there in the car business that care about service and their reputation.

I have taken my cars to GLA for some time. I can say that Mark, Todd and the rest of the crew do great work for reasonable prices. The work gets done when they say it's going to get done. They are friendly and always advise me of my options and prices. I first came to this shop after being told by another shop that I needed a new AC compressor. GLA took a look and determined that a valve needed replacement. Saved me a pile of money on that one! They have been especially helpful as my car gets older, in helping me decide whether to continue repairing or replace. In short this is a great business that cares about its customers, is thoroughly knowledgeable about the work, is customer-friendly, offers loaner vehicles, and gets the job done right the first time. Highest recommendation!

We have been using Gage's Lake Auto for over 6 years. They are honest, straightforward and have very competitive prices. Their customer service is fantastic and I feel very confident using them. I never feel they over sell repairs or pressure us into doing unnecessary maintenance. They tell you upfront what all the costs will be and there are no surprises. They stand behind their work. One of our cars is much older and they help us asses what is really necessary to do without over investing the the car. They made a point to get to know us as a family and not just as a customer with cars that need maintenance or repairs. They provide free loaners if needed. We highly recommend them!

I have a 2007 PT Cruiser with 100K miles that was failing emissions testing due to a bad catalytic converter. The first shop I took it too wanted $1,000 for the repair ($700 parts, $300 labor). I decided to try Gages Lake Auto instead and am very happy I did. I explained that due to the age of the car I didn't want to spend too much on the repair. They understood my needs and offered to install a universal catalytic converter for $410. After the installation they drove the car until the computer began reporting emissions data to verify the problem was completely resolved. I was impressed they did this because the first (more expensive) shop told me I'd have to bring the car back myself the next day after driving it a while. They were out of loaner cars the day I went but gave me a ride to the train station so I could get to work. They went the extra mile every way they could and I will definitely use them again.

Great service. My first visit, so a little nervous as I was bringing my vehicle in for what I thought was going to be a transmission issue. To my great surprise, it was not a transmission issue. I knew there was an issue with the radiator as well, so had them fix that since I was not going to buy a transmission. Done right, on time and at a very competitive cost. One success does not make a track record but I am thrilled to say, I will be coming back for a second chance and looking forward to making Gages Lake Auto "My Garage" Thanks guys!
